Deduptio

Insycle alternative for Attio

Insycle is a good product and this page is not an argument against it. It is an answer to a specific problem: Insycle integrates with HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Intercom, Mailchimp, Marketo, Yext and Zendesk, and not with Attio. If your CRM moved and your data-quality tooling did not follow, here is what the pieces map onto.

The short version:Insycle's deduplication module is the part with a direct Attio replacement, and that is Deduptio. Several of its other modules exist because of how HubSpot and Salesforce work; in Attio the same jobs are done inside the CRM, or do not come up.

Module by module

Insycle moduleWhat it doesIn an Attio workspace
DeduplicateFind duplicate groups on configurable rules, choose survivorship, merge in bulkDeduptio.Per-object match rules, grouped review with the match reason, bulk merges through Attio's native merge, 24-hour rollback
Bulk Update / Transform DataMass field edits, formatting and standardizationAttio itself — multi-select in a table view and edit, or the REST API for anything rule-shaped
Associate RecordsLink contacts to companies by email domainLargely unnecessary: Attio resolves people to companies by domain as part of its data model
Import / ExportCSV import with matching and update rulesAttio's CSV importer, which matches on a unique attribute and updates rather than duplicating — see CSV import duplicates
Data Health / monitoringScheduled reports on data quality problemsDeduptio's scheduled scans cover the duplicate half, with an email when new groups appear. Broader field-quality reporting has no direct equivalent yet
Templates and scheduled automationsSaved recipes run on a schedulePartial: Deduptio saves match rules per object and runs them daily or weekly. Non-dedupe recipes belong in Attio automations or an automation platform

What transfers from how you already work

The habits are the valuable part, and they all carry over. If you ran Insycle properly you already think in terms of a match rule per object rather than one global setting, a preview before a bulk operation, survivorship as an explicit policy rather than a default, and a schedule so the backlog does not rebuild. All four exist in Deduptio, with the same shape:

Three things that are genuinely different in Attio

  1. The merge is Attio's, not the tool's.Deduptio calls Attio's own record merge, so emails, calls, notes, tasks and list entries move the way Attio moves them. There is no reconstruction step to audit.
  2. Merging is irreversible in Attio itself. A record deleted by a merge cannot be recovered by you or your team. That is why every Deduptio merge is snapshotted first and stays restorable for 24 hours — read exactly what comes back before you rely on it.
  3. Custom objects are first-class. Attio workspaces tend to carry business-specific objects, and they get duplicates too. Match rules apply to any object, not just people and companies.

If you still run HubSpot or Salesforce alongside Attio

Then keep Insycle for those systems. This is not an either/or: Insycle cleans the CRMs it integrates with, Deduptio cleans Attio, and they never touch the same records. The failure mode to watch for is a sync that pushes uncleaned records from one system into the other — dedupe both sides, and make sure whatever moves data between them matches on a unique attribute rather than creating.

Point a match rule at your first Attio object

Connect your Attio workspace, write one match rule, and run a scan. Scans are read-only — you see every group and the reason it matched before anything is merged.
